Service Contract Sales Specialist

The primary responsibility of the Service Contract Sales Specialist is to sell Service Contracts to our current customer base and potential customers currently not with Tech. Primarily, the Service Contract Sales Specialist is responsible for selling Tech's service in an assigned territory for one of the following: Maintenance Agreements, Inspection Agreements, Central Monitoring Agreements and/or Time and Material Service.


FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Essential Functions

  • Proactively calls on existing Tech customers to sell Service Agreements and expand Tech's market share with new customers.
  • Expands Tech's product share by selling more of our services to our existing customer base.
  • Ensures accurate information in entered into Database by informing Organizational Support of customer database changes.
  • Must "easily" talk about Tech's systems, as it relates to Service Agreements, primarily the fire, security and voice/data systems.
  • Must create an estimate and submission.
  • Processes material-only sales orders, special project, repairs from inspection, and service orders received by telephone, fax, email, personally from calling on customers into database from initial call to closeout.
  • Continually maintains and manages leads by tracking and following up on them through database.
  • Must close sales and meet monthly sales quotas as defined by the Director of Service.
  • This individual must treat each customer with a sense of professionalism and react to the customer's needs so as to project a competent and concerned attitude.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and managers to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity and continued improvement.

Education:

Associate's Degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent work experience


Experience:

Two (2) years sales experience or technical experience in voice, data, alarm or video


License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

Valid state Driver's License


Travel Required:

Employee must be capable of providing dependable personal transportation.

Employee is required to travel to and from customer sites as needed.
