Regional Construction Account Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

Responsible to lead the construction strategy and cultivate high performing teams throughout an assigned region to achieve assigned team targets. In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring solid, long-term business relationships are established with electrical contractors, general contractors, architects, engineering firms, fire marshals and code officials on behalf of the company while continuously growing sales through the designated region.

 

Essential Functions

  • Effectively leads Construction Account Managers and his/her assigned teams to grow results and deliver consistent practices to maximize the customers experience
  • Routinely presents updates and requirements of codes to fire marshals and other customers to maintain solid business relationships
  • Coordinates a product solution to deliver for the assigned construction market by working with the Technology Solutions Manager and Director(s) of Technology
  • Leads the execution of Account Management Sales and Marketing Plan for the assigned region
  • Ensures the Construction Account Teams are meeting assigned sales targets and closing ratios each quarter
  • Routinely meets with the Construction Account Manager teams to ensure all members are informed of expected deliverables on an ongoing basis
  • Assists in sales calls to assigned accounts to expand upon existing relationships and identify future needs when necessary
  • Cultivate and maintain solid, long-term relationships with internal and external customers
  • Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner by utilizing the team
  • Introduce and demonstrate new products as necessary by engaging the appropriate Solutions Designer within your assigned team.
  • Keep customers informed about all relevant company and vendor policies as needed
  • Report competitive conditions, observed customer financial weakness and customer feedback to management.
  • Cooperate with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales calls.
  • Attend & host sales, product, and other company meetings as needed.
  • Identifies budgets and decision makers within each account team
  • Facilitates and assists in coordinating seminars and presentations on Tech's systems.
  • Ability to track performance & lead the performance of the assigned teams by utilizing the sales automation systems (Salesforce)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • 10+ years of construction/electrical sales experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience

 

The following is highly preferred:

  • Estimating of construction projects
