Project Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW:  The Project Administrator provides administrative and coordination support for project management processes and project management personnel in support of the implementation and closeout of company projects (new system and move, add and changes).   Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Engineering. 

 

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

 

Essential Functions

  • Works closely with Sales staff and Project management team members to ensure projects are performed within company timelines and per company guidelines.
  • Oversees administration, implementation and continual improvement of assigned project management processes. Such assigned processes include but are not limited to the following:
    • New job processing and closeout
    • Special project work order administration and closeout
    • Municipality code administration
    • Customer database administration
    • UL process administration
  • Processes all permits (building, electrical and fire marshal) required for all company project managers as assigned by the Director of Operations & Engineering; ensures that company license data is current for appropriate municipality and ensures company escrow accounts are properly maintained to prohibit delays in permit processing.
  • Performs generation of Submittals for project managers
  • Assist in the implementation of new procedures as designated by Company
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and managers to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity and continued improvement

Secondary Functions

  • Provides back up support for other Project Administrators as assigned by the Director of Operations and Engineering.
  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

 

 

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

 

 Education:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

Experience:

  • Two (2) years' experience in customer service.
  • One year experience using computer systems, including MS Office.
