What you'll do as a Procurement Analyst

Assist with the procurement of Tech Electronics materials and supplies. Support the negotiation of best price and delivery. Includes day-to-day activities such as the issuing of purchase orders, allocation of stock to corresponding due date and ensuring prompt delivery as required by our customers. Also includes more strategic activities such as the analysis of data for cost-benefit analysis and its use to compare vendors and help choose the best fit for the company. Responsible for documenting all vendor costs and generating monthly cost reports for stakeholders. Maintain a high level of service to both internal and external customers of Tech Electronics. Performs job functions at the highest level of accuracy and efficiency.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Negotiates and places purchase orders with vendors. Negotiates discounts with vendors for purchases per guidelines established by the Materials Control Manager.
  • Provide assistance in analyzing and developing improved policies, plans, methods, procedures, and systems of acquisition management programs.
  • Evaluates current vendors and selects new vendors per purchasing guidelines.
  • Maintains reports for inventory analysis, usage and quality reports for the measurement of failures.
  • Responsible for serving internal and external customers and exceeding their expectations.
  • Select suppliers and manage corresponding partnerships for all operating companies
  • Interfaces with the warehouse personnel to measure and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Lead cross-functional affiliate teams to drive purchasing initiatives and improve bottom line performance.
  • Maintains purchase cost records and ordering policies.
  • Provides input for continual improvement of current processes or procedures.
  • Analyze trends and make corresponding sourcing decisions that contribute directly to the company's competitive position.
  • Negotiate and award multi-faceted, large and complex, business wide and affiliate specific enterprise contracts to minimize operational, legal and financial risks.

REQUIRED EDUCTION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the minimum qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • Education: Degree in Business, Computer Science or technical, mathematically related fields, with an strong emphasis on technical and analytical knowledge
  • Experience: Ideally two years' experience in purchasing or supply chain management, but not essential. ERP implementation experience would be very desirable.
  • Certifications: None required.

COMPETENCIES

  • Possess STRONG analytical skills and must be able to learn systems and technology quickly.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other tools are desirable
  • Understanding of databases and extraction, sql are also desirable
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma
  • Project management
