Over the Counter Inside Sales

POSITION OVERVIEW: This is a reactive sales position designed to answer customer's inquiries for part sales (over-the-counter sales not part of an open project), repairs from inspection and customer requests for quotes on service requests and MACs. Additionally, this position will regularly provide part numbers per internal/external customers' requests and perform regular inventory stock checks.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Essential Functions

• Must have a thorough knowledge of Tech's systems at a piece-part level.
• Places material-only sales orders through Astea (Sales Quotes/Sales Orders)
• Places Special Project orders through Astea (Field Quotes/Service Orders)
• Informs Organizational Support Generalist of customer database changes.
• Manages leads by tracking and following up on them.
• Closes sales and meets monthly sales quotas as defined by the Service Channel Director.
• Quickly reacts to the customer's needs.
• Proactively calls on Electrical Contractors for cable jobs.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity and continued improvement.

Secondary Functions

• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
• Provides part numbers per internal/external customers' requests.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The following are the minimum qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Education:
• Associate's Degree in a related Business or Technical field or equivalent work experience
• Experience:
• Two (2) years sales experience in voice, data, alarm or video
• Two (2) years technical experience in voice, data, alarm or video
