POSITION OVERVIEW 

The human resources generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, onboarding, affirmative action and employment law compliance, policy implementation, benefits management, and HRIS management.

Essential Functions

• Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies

• Develops and maintains affirmative action program

• Conducts outplacement counseling and exit interviews.

• Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.

• Conducts and manages the onboarding process for all new hires.

• Manages and delivers all compliance training for new and existing employees.

• Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.

• Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs. 

• Assists with recruitment tasks as needed.

• Acts as an employee relations specialist.

• Maintains employee personnel files

• Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.

• Maintains human resource information system.
