Human Resources Generalist
POSITION OVERVIEW
The human resources generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, onboarding, affirmative action and employment law compliance, policy implementation, benefits management, and HRIS management.
Essential Functions

Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies

Develops and maintains affirmative action program

Conducts outplacement counseling and exit interviews.

Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.

Conducts and manages the onboarding process for all new hires.

Manages and delivers all compliance training for new and existing employees.

Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.

Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.

Assists with recruitment tasks as needed.

Acts as an employee relations specialist.

Maintains employee personnel files

Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.

Maintains human resource information system.
