Fire Suppression Technician

• Inspect, repair and test fire extinguishers (and/or suppression systems and equipment - Tech 2) utilizing hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment and monitoring devices
  • Hydro-test low pressure cylinders
  • Dismantle extinguishers and examine mechanical parts, extinguished agents and expelling means (replace worn or damaged parts)
  • Clean extinguishers and recharge with approved materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and product manuals
• Assist in fire safety inspections
• Respond timely to prospective and current customer inquiries
• Implement changes as requested to ensure forward progress
• Identify and implement solutions to problems in general and urgent matters for customers

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of inspection, repair, maintenance and testing techniques for safety equipment and systems
• Skilled in the inspection, repair, maintenance and testing techniques for fire safety equipment and system

• Have and maintain a valid drivers license
  • Must be able to travel and potentially stay overnight to complete work assignments
