POSITION OVERVIEW: Directs Operations Staff to ensure customer satisfaction, compliance, and profitability for the installation of new systems and moves, adds and changes of existing systems. Maintains objectives of the company's Vision, Mission, and Beliefs in carrying out all responsibilities.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for strategic direction, profitability and quality control of operations; oversees development of continuous improvement of operations deliverables to the customer; ensures implementation of employee development processes and programs to ensure staffing growth and development to support continued growth of the company and needs of the customer and employees.
  • Responsible for the development of annual strategic and tactical planning objectives for operations; oversees the finalization of operations annual scorecard, employee development objectives and operations measurement objectives.
  • Ensures that the Operations staff stay within reasonable constraints of assigned projects and adhere to company quality standards; ensures that key fundamentals of project management and implementation are consistently followed and improved.
  • Acts as an escalation point to resolve customer satisfaction issues. Ensures customer satisfaction as a top priority.
  • Ensures proper staffing and training levels in Operations to support current and forecasted workload.
  • Maintains strong relationships with I.B.E.W. Local One and business agents; maintains detailed knowledge of I.B.E.W. Local One work rules; provides input to Tech's I.B.E.W. business liaison as required in improving relationships with I.B.E.W; attends labor negotiation meetings as directed by the company's business liaison.
  • Responsible for providing input into the development of annual budgets including gross profit, capital expenditures, operating expenses and staffing requirements; ensures operations adheres to budget throughout the fiscal year.
  • Spends a minimum of 10% of time with external customers to determine current level of operations performance as well as to determine new services and/or process improvements that Tech needs to improve operations deliverables to our customers. Oversees development and implementation of new operations deliverables for our customers to continuously strengthen Tech's relationship with our customers.
  • Participates in annual company strategic planning sessions; develops and implements annual operations objectives in support of annual strategic planning session objectives; ensures company and operations objectives are met; attends quarterly strategic planning update meetings with Tech Electronics management team.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and managers to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity and continued improvement.
