Customer Base Account Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Customer Base Account Manager is expected to have an in-depth understanding of their customer's business needs, the buying centers for Tech's products and services and how Tech's products and services can help achieve their business goals, and solve their business problems. Becomes the "Trusted Advisor" among all buying centers within an assigned account. Establishes and maintains a strong presence for Tech Electronics within their assigned customers and positions Tech as the preferred provider of communication systems and services within their assigned accounts.  

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  •  Develops and cultivates relationships with assigned accounts in order to grow Tech's products within those accounts:.
  • Develops and executes a Strategic Marketing Plan for each assigned account in partnership with the Director of Sales
  • Identifies potential short and long term buying cycles for assigned accounts that might include our systems or services.
  • Accomplishes the objectives set forth in the Circulate and Balance plan for each assigned account among all buying centers.
  • Achieves assigned team sales targets based on cap ex and op ex purchases.
  • Expected to maximize account revenue, within each assigned Strategic Account, across all of Tech's Product Lines and services and across all of the Strategic Business Units.
  • Updates Salesforce on a regular basis with information acquired regarding all opportunities
  • Continues to educate oneself in the science of selling by attending sales programs as defined by the Director of Business Development.
  • Facilitates and assists in coordinating seminars and presentations on Tech's systems and services.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor's Degree in related Business field or equivalent work experience
  • Two years of outside sales experience
  • Two years experience using computer systems, including MS Office.
  • The following is highly preferred:
  • Background of voice, data, alarm and/or video.

License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

  • Valid state Driver's License
  • Must maintain Automobile Liability Insurance with minimum limits of:
    • $100,000 each person
    • $300,000 each accident
    • $100,000 property damage

Travel Required

  • Employee must be capable of providing dependable personal transportation.
  • Employee is required to travel to and from customer sites as needed.
  • Occasional overnight travel required

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:  

  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
  2. The employee must exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at 20 feet or more as well as 20 inches or less.

 Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: 

  • Normal office environment
  • Site work job conditions are similar to typical construction projects
